Not a lot of guys have a knack for talking like Gabe Barrios does. It takes confidence, without arrogance, to express oneself effectively. And he makes it work without any effort.
This self-proclaimed closet nerd is living and walking proof that being one doesn’t necessarily constitute an awkward social doormat. He claims that talking is his real talent, which prompted him to try out for OrSem host in the first place.
He is currently a junior jock for Magic 89.9, with previous stints in hosting, modeling and acting. Described as Mr. Energy (no energy, no love is his mantra!), he is sure to make bigger campus waves this June.
Tell us a bit about yourself.
I am a jack of all trades. I have a liberal, no-holds barred personality—throw anything at me and I’ll hop on it. I’m a fun-loving guy who works hard but plays harder.
Where can we find you on campus?
I hang out at JSEC a lot. There’s actually a role in the OrSem Film for “JSEC-er Man”, and I play it! You can also find me in Matteo D or Sec-walk.
Interesting tidbit:
Despite being an extrovert, I am the biggest torpe you’ll ever meet. Also, I’m a frustrated singer and dancer.
